Ellen Yin
Founder and Co-Owner, High Street Hospitality Group
Ellen Yin is the founder and co-owner of Philadelphia’s High Street Hospitality Group, which operates Fork, High Street Restaurant and Bakery, a.kitchen + bar, The Wonton Project, and High Street Hoagies. Her restaurants have been lauded by the world’s most highly-regarded publications, including the Michelin Guide, Food & Wine, Wine Enthusiast, Bon Appetit, and the New York Times. In 2023, twenty-five years after she opened Fork, Ellen was named “Outstanding Restaurateur” by the James Beard Foundation.
Originally from a small shore town in New Jersey, Ellen received her BS (?) and MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Proudly dedicated to the flourishing of Philadelphia, Ellen is a co-chair of Sisterly Love Coalition and a board member of the Philadelphia Award, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, and the Arden Theater Company. Nationally, she sits on the restaurant advisory board of OpenTable.
