Sara Rhodin
Hospitality Coordinator, High Street Hospitality Group
Sara Rhodin is the Hospitality Coordinator at High Street Hospitality. She is also the co-founder and former COO of Labor of Love Kitchen, an organization that supports immigrant women chefs as they expand their home cooking businesses.
Sara is a graduate of Harvard and The George Washington University. She is a Soviet historian and a specialist in love, dating, and marriage under Khruschev and Brezhnev. Before joining High Street and Sisterly Love, she worked in Russian human rights grantmaking at Open Society Foundations in New York, wrote for the New York Times in Moscow, and taught high school students about dictatorships and dissidents. She has spent too much time convincing her students that she is not, in fact, a spy.
She is an avid home cook and the host of NAJLA, a hospitality project and excuse to share her take on her family's Arabic recipes with her favorite people. She lives in a 200-year-old house with a dated and perplexing yet most-of-the-time totally adequate kitchen in Society Hill with her husband and two children.
